My name is Bernadette Vidal and I am a qualified graduate teacher with 26 years of experience
in teaching students of Grades K to 6. I am also a freelance writer and tutor of English. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Language Education-Literacy Studies. Since the pandemic, I have been tutoring online via Google and Zoom learning platforms.
I specialize in English Language and provide tailored one-hour sessions to suit my students’
learning needs. If you need help in the areas of writing, grammar, phonics, reading, comprehension, spelling-vocabulary, I am the right tutor for you.
I am also TEFL certified, therefore, if English is not your first language, I will be able to help
you master the language skills, including speaking.
I use a combination of visual and audio aids in my teaching. For English second language
learners, I incorporate the TPR method. Over the years it has become a habit for me to create
jingles and rhymes to teach my students different concepts. I always give my students the
opportunity to practice the target concept within any given lesson, via conversation, or written mode.
